Debi Evans

Bassist and vocalist Debi Evans adds solid rhythm and a sweet lead/harmony vocal to The Florida State Bluegrass Band.  Her love for music is contagious on stage.  She is an accomplished musician in her own right, as her bass playing has been recognized by many notable musicians.  She is dedicated to practicing, and is a fan of many styles of music.  She also enjoys promoting bluegrass and sharing the airwaves with her husband.

Ernie Evans and The Florida State Bluegrass Band represent what fans expect from bluegrass music today–an ability to bridge the gap between contemporary and traditional styles. Known for their strong lead vocals, classic hits, and ability to entertain their audiences, The Florida State Bluegrass Band is rapidly gaining a widespread fan base across the United States.

Crowe and Terry Baucom as his main musical influences. Some say North Carolina is always good on the resume when it comes to bluegrass because of it's huge population of great players and singers that start at an early age and have to compete for exposure. Hailing from the Eastern part of North Carolina is mandolinist, Billy Swinson, a 26 year veteran player who has made a major mark in his career. It's no surprise that Billy has garnered lots of his attention for his solid chop and tasteful playing, heavily influenced by mandolin greats, Alan Bibey and Adam Steffey. He has toured with award winning singer songwriter Donna Hughes, and is a former member of Constant Change and Common Ground to mention a few. He can now be seen freelancing, doing session work and touring this year with the Florida State Bluegrass Band.
